Within walking distance is Europe's largest saltwater lake, Lake Grevelingen – perfect for swimming, stand-up paddleboarding, sailing, surfing, boating, or simply dipping your toes in the water. Put on your walking shoes or running shoes, hop on your bike or racing bike, or go birdwatching along the dikes. Here you'll experience the space and tranquility of the beautiful South Holland island of Goeree-Overflakkee.

The sunny, fully enclosed garden is safe and spacious. Two lockable gates, a lawn in and around the garden, a sand and water table for little ones, and outdoor toys make it a paradise for children.

Under the cozy covered patio with sliding glass doors, you can relax and enjoy the shelter from the wind or rain. Enjoy long holiday evenings surrounded by nature on the lounge sofa or at the dining table, while the fireplace/BBQ crackles softly beside you.

Inside, the decor is warm and inviting. A comfortable sofa, games, puzzles, and books make for cozy evenings. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with a coffee bar (Senseo & filter), combination oven/microwave, induction cooktop, boiling water tap, refrigerator, and everything you need for cooking or baking. Salt, pepper, coffee, and tea are also stocked in the kitchen drawers.

Huusie Flamingo was completely renovated and refreshed in 2026. A new kitchen, new luxury bathroom, and large, inviting garden room/patio cover provide comfort and coziness. Newly available for rent from March 1, 2026.
